American Dining Creations is hiring a Dish Room Attendant in Portland, Maine to support kitchen staff by washing dishes, restocking, and performing janitorial tasks. You will handle dish machines, hand wash items, and maintain clean work areas and floors throughout shifts.

The role may involve assisting with food prep and station breakdown as needed, with responsibilities including waste disposal, inventory organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Able to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware using dish machine and sink.
• Keep designated dish areas organized and uncluttered.
• Store clean dishes, glassware, silverware, and containers properly.
• Maintain dish machines and sinks per safety and quality standards.
• Wash items by hand as needed and maintain clean floors.
• Assist with storing deliveries and organizing dry storage shelves.
• Complete bussing, trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and box breakdowns.
• May assist with food prep and station breakdown as required.
