Job description

Responsible for providing a variety of tasks that guide and position data-intensive projects/programs for success. This is accomplished by understanding data requirements, coordinating work across IT, and ensuring resources are following appropriate practices and enterprise standards. This role may also be tasked to present experience and learning from various projects to/from the current, future, and past to enable a continuous improvement mindset within the data space.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provides recommendations, reconciles conflicts, aligns needed resources, identifies, and resolves deviations in practices.
  • Maps the flow of data and the business processes and/or technical interfaces that would be created or impacted on and recommend solutions/adaptations.
  • Documents the source to target mappings for data integration and web services.
  • Ensures alignment with data quality and transformation rules and develops infrastructure and/or other tools to communicate mapping to relevant groups.
  • Works with enterprise partners to conduct complex data profiling using enterprise standard technologies.
  • Key contributor in the creation and review of conceptual, logical, and physical data models and determines the most appropriate method to represent the data for business consumption.
  • Proactively consults and provides recommendations and direction on data needs to satisfy business requirements, intent, and objectives.
  • Ensures Compliance with Enterprise Data Governance policies and standards on information risk and data protection guidelines.
  • Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.
  • May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or an IT-related field. At least five (5) years of prior experience in data warehouse, database administration, and Cloud-based data integration service experience is required.

Certifications / Licenses: N/A

Other: Skills in multiple programming languages, including Json, and knowledge of database design. Knowledge of data profiling, root cause analysis, and quality improvement techniques. Proficiency with Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Integration Services, and Data Warehouse technologies is highly desired.
