Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Lead Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee a disease portfolio and drive research program goals. You will coordinate with Principal Investigators, program leadership, sponsors, and CROs to ensure timely startup and completion of studies.

Under the supervision of the department, you will manage day-to-day clinical operations, ensure protocol compliance, obtain informed consent, monitor adverse events, manage data entry and documentation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant program experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight as lead of a specific disease portfolio and coordinates with PIs and program leadership to ensure goals are met.
• Oversees day-to-day clinical and operational activities for execution of research protocols, including informed consent, scheduling visits, adverse event reporting, sample handling, data entry, and documentation.
• Prepares for and participates in team meetings; acts as liaison between Sponsor, PI, vendors, sub-contracts, and services such as Investigational Drug Services Pharmacy, labs, imaging, NEXUS, and MUSC Hospital services.
• Maintains databases, ensures timeliness, and provides training and guidance on data management.
• Supervises and mentors junior clinical research staff,提供 disease-specific training and onboarding to ensure trials run within guidance.
• Creates recruitment plans in compliance with regulations and organizes community outreach and reporting of progress to leadership.
