Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Programmer to work on software and analytic tools for disease modeling and outbreak analytics within the Epidemiology department. The role focuses on implementing predictive models and deploying analytics in response to infectious disease threats.

Successful candidates will collaborate with a network of scientists and public health practitioners to deliver accessible data displays on web dashboards and to advance population health

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 1-2 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience.
• Experience in general-purpose and scientific programming languages (R, Python, C, Julia).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently within a large scientific team.
• Experience with quality control, writing test cases, and documenting code or software products.

Responsibilities
