Dallas County Health Clinic seeks a Disease Intervention Specialist II to interview, educate, and counsel patients with communicable diseases, and support staff with field visits to ensure timely medical care. Responsibilities include notifying patients, conducting follow-ups, drawing blood, assisting with outbreak investigations, and presenting seminars with physicians.

Travel to homes is required. Education requires a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience; strong communication

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 1 year related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews, educates and counsels patients regarding infectious diseases and control.
• Assists Communicable Disease staff by identifying, locating and notifying patients to ensure proper medical care is received, and conducts follow-up field visits.
• Draws blood for communicable disease and other infectious disease supported activities.
• Assists Epidemiology staff and Communicable Disease staff in outbreak investigations.
• Conducts seminars with physicians and clinics regarding infectious diseases.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
