Job summary

OPENROAD ALLARD COLLISION LLC is seeking a Discovery Technician to inspect and document collision damage, supporting precise repair planning and seamless workflow between estimators, body technicians, and insurance partners.

The role requires at least 1 year of collision repair experience, I-CAR and OEM certifications are valued, and a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Valid driver's license and independent work capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of collision repair experience required.
• I-CAR Certification in body repair and welding preferred.
• OEM certification and knowledge of manufacturer repair processes highly valued.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality workmanship.
• Positive, dependable, and customer-focused mindset.
• Proficient in the use of standard shop tools and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality vehicle repairs as outlined on repair orders in line with manufacturer and industry standards
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair progress and requirements
• Complete welding, frame/unibody alignment, body panel repairs, and cosmetic work
• Operate frame machines and other shop equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE
• Conduct Quality Control (QC) inspections upon completion of work
• Mix chemicals and materials per manufacturer specifications
• Adapt to a blueprint-style production model-may not disassemble vehicles personally
