Valeo is seeking an Engineering Disciplines Manager to lead budget execution and QCD performance for the assigned project. You will drive technical reviews, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and mentor discipline designers within a collaborative, diverse team.

The role emphasizes problem solving, rapid corrective actions, and ongoing design improvements across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required; 3–5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience leading discipline teams in large projects is preferred.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the project budget within the assigned discipline and budget guidelines.
  • Lead the discipline QRQC and ensure rapid resolution of issues.
  • Drive design solutions and reuse within the project scope.
  • Support root cause analysis for issues and warranty events.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

About the Role:

Budget: Responsible for Ford Project Budget execution: Execute the budget within the assigned project, ensuring alignment with the overall project budget and Discipline budget guidelines provided by the Engineering Manager of the entity. Support Operations: Responsible for Project Discipline QCD Management: Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the discipline within the assigned project, adhering to standardized methodologies, project dashboard and KPIs defined by the Group/Division and followed by the Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader. Responsible for Technical Review execution and corrective action plan within the project. Drive design solutions & reuse within the assigned project. Support Root cause analysis for 0KM, warranty and Sys Validation using System validation environment for ULS , Camera and ECU . Lead Technical Discussion with Customer , supplier and different Discipline.

Competencies:
  • Support Discipline QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): Identify discipline issues in standard, method, tools, test means for ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement in design execution
  • Responsible for Project QRQC, ensuring management of the correction of major technical issues with the support of the entity engineering manager and the relevant Experts.
  • Support Competency Development of the design team within the project.
  • Efficiency: Execute Discipline Efficiency Plan within the assigned project.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Collaborate with Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader: Maintain regular communication and alignment with the Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader on budget performance, design execution, quality control, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with R&D Technical Project Leader: Work closely with the R&D Technical Project Leader to ensure seamless integration of the [Discipline Name] design within the overall project plan, timeline, and technical specifications.
  • Lead and Mentor Discipline Designers: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Discipline Designers working on the project, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • R= Responsible in charge of activities/ deliverable - can be shared with more than one person A= Accountable, in charge of activities/ deliverables approbation
What You Should Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required 3-5+ years of experience in related fields.
