Job summary

Old River Baptist Church is seeking an Associate Pastor of Discipleship Systems, Missions, and Assimilation. You will lead the church's discipleship programs, oversee assimilation through membership, and collaborate with the Lead Pastor to implement a clear, biblically grounded plan for ministry.

The role requires a Master of Divinity, SBC-aligned credentials, and 5+ years of pastoral or discipleship experience, with a heart for gospel-centered training and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity or equivalent from SBC-aligned seminary.
• Licensed and ordained by a Southern Baptist Church or aligned
• 5+ years of church staff or mission experience as pastor or discipleship leader.

Responsibilities

• Pastor the whole congregation in coordination with Lead Pastor and staff.
• Develop and articulate vision for discipleship areas in line with church mission.
• Coordinate discipleship ministries for cohesion and effectiveness.
• Oversee assimilation from first visit to membership completion.
• Train teachers for prayer meetings, life groups, and ministry events.
• Plan budgets for discipleship, missions, and guest assimilation.
