Job summary

Lansdale Presbyterian Church in Montgomery County, PA, seeks a Discipleship Pastor to join as full-time, salaried staff accountable to the Session and Lead Pastor. The role is intended to grow into an Associate Pastor position as a long-term member of the pastoral team, with primary focus on discipleship, Christian Education, and leadership development.

Responsibilities include leading CDM, directing church-wide Community Groups, developing curricula for youth, children, and adults, training

Qualifications

• MDiv or equivalent from an accredited seminary.
• Ordained PCA teaching elder or ordainable in the PCA.
• Experience in discipleship, curriculum development, and leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Lead Discipleship Ministries (CDM) and CDM committee meetings.
• Oversee Community Groups and curriculum development; recruit, disciple, and train leaders.
• Coach and train ministry leaders and curriculum developers.
• Develop strategy and oversee Youth and Children’s ministries including curriculum selection and teacher development.
• Provide leadership for Adult Sunday School and curriculum strategy; train teachers.
• Design and oversee training programs for ministry leaders and oversee the church library as a resource for discipleship.
• Preach the Word from the pulpit as needed and in coordination with the Lead Pastor.
