This position does not directly manage any other caregivers.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:**Ensures safety and quality of care in all actions and operations.Provides medication counseling, monitoring, drug utilization review, and patient assessments.Ensures accurate and proper labeling, packaging, compounding, billing, verification, and delivery of medications.Performs work in support of the specialty pharmacy program which meets or exceeds accreditation standards.Responsible for purchasing, receiving, storage, and processing of inventory.Maintains accurate computerized medication profiles.Supervises and coordinates the activities of assigned pharmacy technicians engaged in the preparation, labeling and delivery of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with physicians' prescriptions.Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and controlled drugs and the maintenance of required records.Supports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects.Supports Lean principles and engages in continuous improvement activities.Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients and guests.Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
