Job summary

UNDP is seeking an internship to support its Disaster Risk Reduction and Recovery Team (DRT) with risk intelligence research, AI-enabled DRR applications, and knowledge management. The role includes developing service line materials, partner outreach, and contributing to the Preparedness Learning Pathway.

Fluency in English is required; interns will work with global teams, assist in webinars, and help produce briefing notes and donor materials as part of a dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program in DRR, climate change adaptation, disaster management, or humanitarian affairs.
• Be in the final year of a first university degree in one of the above areas.
• Have recently graduated and must start the internship within one year of graduation.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) is required; knowledge of another UN language would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the research and development of DRT's Risk Intelligence Service Line including AI-enabled DRR applications.
• Assist in developing knowledge products, case studies, policy briefs, and communication materials.
• Map and analyze digital and AI-powered applications relevant to risk intelligence and DRR.
• Support the Preparedness Learning Pathway resources, online repository, and course development.
• Assist with webinars planning and delivery, including facilitation guidance and reports.
