Job summary

Premier Restoration Hawaii is seeking a Mitigation Technician to be among the first responders to property damage. You will assess situations, stabilize sites, and begin restoration efforts to help clients recover quickly.

You will work with a team, handle equipment, and communicate clearly with customers during stressful times. Ideal candidates are hands-on, analytical, and able to think quickly under pressure, with experience in restoration or related fields being preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in construction, restoration, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residential and commercial property damage due to water, fire, mold, and wind.
• Participate in after-hours, weekend, and emergency response calls as needed.
• Drive company vehicle to job sites across the island.
• Assess damage and develop restoration plans with Mitigation Leads.
• Set up, monitor, and operate drying and mitigation equipment.
• Demolish and remove damaged materials when necessary.
• Assist with packing, inventorying, and storing customer belongings.
• Provide professional, compassionate communication with customers during stress.
• Document job progress using company software and mobile technology.
• Provide customers with updates throughout the restoration process.
• Participate in ongoing industry training and professional development.
• Work with teammates to ensure projects are completed safely.
