Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs nationwide. You will develop detailed cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, evaluate damaged facilities, and help determine funding eligibility.

This on-call cadre role may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs and project requirements, with travel as needed. Join a team focused on leading with science to deliver resilient solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in construction estimating, engineering, architecture, construction management, infrastructure planning, or related discipline.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facility projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices, facility assessments, project scope development, and construction inspection activities.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through project scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating activities.
• Prepare cost estimates for damaged facilities and infrastructure.
• Develop and validate project scopes, quantities, and unit costs.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and program staff to define eligible work and requirements.
• Maintain project records and supporting documentation for audits and reviews.
