Job summary

Tetra Tech seeks experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs nationwide. You will develop defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and emergency work, review project scopes, and help determine funding eligibility.

This on-call cadre position offers remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments across the United States, with opportunities to work with engineers, architects, and construction professionals on complex recovery

Qualifications

• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to travel to field assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates for disaster recovery projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions cost estimates.
• Estimate costs for repair, restoration, reconstruction, mitigation, and replacement projects.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other public infrastructure.
• Provide technical estimating expertise to project teams and applicants.
