Job summary

Kundlas-Consulting-Group-LLC is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to support disaster response and recovery operations in southern Louisiana after Tropical Storm Bertha. Working under licensed electricians, you will assist with restoring electrical systems, supporting emergency repairs, and helping return critical infrastructure and public services to operation safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous electrical experience required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical tools, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including weekends.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
• Experience with disaster recovery or emergency response operations preferred.
• Familiarity with NEC preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Enrollment in or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installation, repair, and restoration of electrical systems.
• Support recovery operations for public facilities and critical infrastructure.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Pull wire, install conduit, and assist with electrical equipment installation.
• Perform basic troubleshooting under supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures and project requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
• Complete assigned tasks to support timely disaster recovery efforts.
