Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Program Manager to coordinate volunteer-led disaster cycles and engage partners across the assigned region. You will identify readiness resources, facilities, and local vendors, ensuring communities are prepared to respond to disasters and recover.

You will deploy with regional teams, mentor volunteers, and build connections with diverse communities to extend the Red Cross reach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading volunteer teams in social services.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a diverse volunteer team for disaster cycle services.
• Implement disaster cycle activities within the region.
• Develop Disaster Leadership Volunteers to meet responsibilities.
• Engage communities and partners to prepare for disasters.
• Collaborate with internal partners in a matrix environment.
• Serve as disaster subject matter expert in the area.
• Coordinate disaster relief operations in alignment with operations.
• Identify and build trust with diverse communities and organizations.
