Job summary

State of Alaska, Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Hazard Mitigation Section, is seeking an Emergency Management Specialist 2 in Alaska. The role supports FEMA HMGP projects, manages grant reporting, and delivers mitigation presentations while assigned to the SEOC during disasters.

The position requires Alaska residency and related security considerations, within the GGUbargaining unit.

• Manage grant reporting activities and develop/ deliver mitigation presentations at conferences and outreach events.
• Assist during disaster response from the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) to support coordination and operations.
