Job summary

Tetra Tech is forming an emergency response candidate pipeline for Debris Monitor roles in Florida. This on-site, temporary position involves supervising debris removal activities, with training provided and no required prior experience. You will work long shifts, potentially 10–12 hours, 5–6 days a week, in varied weather, and are paid weekly.

This is a non-commission role focused on community support. The ideal candidate is reliable, capable of independent work, and can communicate effectively

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; be able to commute full days.
• Clean driving record suitable for MVR check.
• Proficiency with smartphones; basic PC skills; willingness to learn new systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail.
• Ability to work 5–6 days a week, long shifts.
• English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading activities of trucks and equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Record load details, vehicle types, and debris classifications using devices and logs.
• Monitor trucks, document weight points, and restrict debris to public areas only.
• Interact professionally with contractors and officials in variable weather.
• Ensure debris pickup compliance and clearances before contractors proceed.
• Provide regular updates to supervisors on progress and issues.
