Job summary

JobSquad Solutions Team is seeking a Disassembly Mechanic to join our Rogers, AR operation. The role focuses on prepping vehicles for de-man processing, inspecting equipment, draining fluids, and safely removing components for recycling.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; automotive or salvage yard experience is preferred. Ability to lift 30-50 lbs (100+ lbs with assistance) and operate forklifts, loaders, and related machinery is a plus. Safety gear mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior automotive or salvage yard experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, loaders, bobcats, etc. is a plus.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and 100+ lbs with two-person lift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment to ensure it is safe and functional.
• Drain all liquids from vehicles into appropriate receptacles.
• Remove mercury switches and store properly.
• Position vehicles for de-man processing and post-process through shredder.
• Operate power and hydraulic tools to remove auto parts.
• Clean and maintain de-man area and equipment.
• Remove tires, rims, batteries, and catalytic converters as directed.
• Move nonconforming materials to designated locations and assist with other facility areas as needed.
• Possibly operate forklift and loader as required.

The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Disassembly Mechanic to work at a company located in the Rogers, AR area!Job Title: Disassembly MechanicJob Location: Rogers, ARPay and Hours for Job + Benefits: Up to $18/hr, M-F 7 am to 4 pm.Job Description:Position Summary:Assists in the process of prepping vehicles for further processing through shredding operation.Key Responsibilities:* Inspects equipment to ensure it is safe and in working condition* Drains all liquids in vehicles to appropriate receptacles* Removes mercury switches & puts in appropriate receptacles* Assists in placing vehicles within the facility for auto de-man processing and upon completion for further processing thru shredder* May use power and hydraulic tools to remove auto parts* Assists in cleaning and maintaining de-man area and equipment* Removes tires and rims* Removes battery and stores in appropriate location* Removes catalytic converter and places in designated bin. May transfer bin when full to other location within facility* Observes vehicle and removes any nonconforming materials such as tanks, fire extinguishers, solids, etc. Places nonconforming materials in designated locations* May operate forklift* Know how to operate a loader* Know how to operate an excavator/magnet* Performs basic maintenance on machinery* Follows all safety and environmental processes* May assist in laborer level work within other areas of facility* Other responsibilities as assignedSafety* Must wear all necessary PPE while working, or while in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times. Failure to follow safety standards, may result in loss of position.Requirements:* High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior automotive experience and/or salvage yard experience preferred. Prior experience operating equipment including forklifts, wheel loaders, bobcats, etc. is a plus. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-50 lbs and 100+lbs on 2-person lift.* If role involves help with facility incoming material inspection, must be able to effectively interact with customers and vendors.
