Job summary

Lighthouse Louisiana is seeking a Workforce Development Specialist I to provide vocational rehabilitation services, including assessments, job readiness training, and placement support for adults with disabilities across southeast Louisiana.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, CESp/related credentials, and strong communication skills. Traveling will be involved to support job development, coaching, and Pre-ETS activities for teens.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, vocational rehabilitation, or related field required.
• CESP credential required or willingness to attain CESP within one year of employment.
• Proficient in MS Office tools and strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop partnerships with businesses and employment stakeholders to advance opportunities for PWD across the service region.
• Assist participants with developing pre-employment skills, such as resume writing, application completion, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette.
• Collaborate with Lighthouse team to implement the vocational rehabilitation component and develop work-based learning experiences.
