Job summary

Alliance Center for Education in Charlotte, NC seeks an In Person Disability Inclusion Specialist. You will collaborate with instructional staff and families to implement inclusive supports for children with developmental needs and health considerations, helping them participate in the least restrictive environment.

The role involves coordinating IEP/IFSP processes, providing ADA/IDEA guidance, documenting progress in ChildPlus, and delivering family training while complying with Head Start

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Development, Early Intervention or related field (required).
• Minimum of three years’ work-related experience working with birth to five-year-old around Early Intervention Program services or related field experience.
• Knowledge of Adult Learning Theories and experience in data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff and families to implement inclusion supports for identified children.
• Coordinate or participate in IEP and IFSP meetings with families and LEA.
• Monitor and evaluate developmental services and ensure Least Restrictive Environment.
• Maintain documentation and progress notes in ChildPlus.
• Provide training and support to families and center staff on inclusion practices.
• Stay updated on ADA and IDEA accessibility requirements.
