Job summary

Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education invites recent Post-Master's and Postdoctoral candidates to apply to an immersive STEM learning experience in Bethesda, MD. Fellows will be mentored by health scientists, data scientists, and policy analysts while learning to plan and evaluate a portfolio of health research activities.

The program features a one-year appointment with renewal options up to four additional years, a yearly stipend of $75,000 to $88,000, and potential health insurance

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree completed within the last 60 months or expected to complete before start.
• Experience or background in health, science, policy, data science, disability research, or related disciplines preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible status required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to apply scientific and technical knowledge in public health to federal science administration and policy making.
• Stimulate, plan, direct, and evaluate a portfolio of activities for a research program; inform policy and engage stakeholders.
• Engage the public as partners in biomedical and behavioral research.
