Job summary

Global Connections to Employment (GCE) supports people with significant disabilities, including veterans, by helping them secure and grow in meaningful jobs across multiple sectors. The Workforce Development Specialist (WDS) assesses individual needs and coordinates accommodations to promote independence and long-term workplace success.

This role requires collaboration with clients, supervisors, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Related degree fields listed: Rehabilitation, Counseling, Social work, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
• Experience in vocational rehabilitation, job placement, job coaching, counseling, or related work with adults with disabilities.
• Educational pathways include HS diploma with 4 years’ experience or an associate/bachelor/master’s degree with required experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members with disabilities in maintaining employment and pursuing career advancement.
• Evaluate employment needs, determine supports and accommodations, and deliver on-site retention services.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders to reduce employment barriers and facilitate placement or transition services.
