Job summary

Catholic Charities is seeking an Employment Specialist to support program participants in the DC Metropolitan Area. You will assist with identifying barriers to employment, provide on-the-job supports, and help secure services to reduce barriers to work.

The role includes job development, coaching, and coordination with partner agencies. Responsibilities include counseling, documentation, and transportation to interviews and training sites, with a focus on empowering adults with developmental

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work experience in developmental disabilities, with one year in employment services preferred.
• Case management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Work Adjustment and related training focusing on work and soft skills.
• Provide case management and wraparound services with timely follow-up.
• Assist with documentation, identification, and travel needs for interviews and sites.
• Develop internships, training, and employment opportunities with employers and agencies.
• Collaborate with staff and partners to create job opportunities and conduct job searches.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate participant outcomes regularly.
• Offer counseling and client interventions as needed.
• Transport participants to program activities as required.
