Job summary

CROSSROADS REHABILITATION CENTER INC in Indianapolis seeks an Employment Consultant to help consumers find and keep jobs aligned with their needs and abilities. You will build relationships with employers, provide assessment, job development, on-the-job training, and long-term support, including transportation help and accessing community services.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, driver’s license, strong communication skills, and ability to work with people with disabilities; 37.5 hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience as employment consultant or similar role preferred.
• Driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Discovery Profile for Employment Services for each consumer.
• Coordinate job development activities: resume prep, opportunities, applications, interviews, advocacy.
• Conduct on-site job analysis and provide on-the-job training.
• Provide disability and awareness training at job sites as needed.
• Provide post-employment supports and long-term advocacy for 90+ days.
