Job summary

Confidential Employer, a disability law practice, seeks an attorney in Owings Mills, MD to handle SSDI/SSI matters and advocate for clients in hearings.

You will prepare clients for administrative hearings, review medical records, and develop strategies to present strong disability claims. JD and Maryland or Virginia bar license required; training available for those new to disability law. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Maryland or Virginia bar license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage cases, deadlines, evidence, and client communications.
• SSDI, SSI, disability law, administrative hearings, or related litigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent claimants in Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income matters.
• Prepare clients and cases for administrative hearings.
• Advocate for clients before administrative law judges.
• Review medical records, disability documentation, and other case evidence.
• Develop case strategies designed to present strong, well-supported disability claims.
• Communicate directly with clients throughout the legal process.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and legal support professionals to move cases efficiently toward resolution.
• Help individuals who have been denied benefits navigate the appeals process.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Maryland or Virginia. Prior Social Security Disability, SSDI, SSI, or administrative hearing experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right attorney.
