Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona's Disability Resource Center (DRC) is hiring a Student Services professional IV to manage intake accommodations for students with disabilities. The role emphasizes timely eligibility evaluations, documentation, and coordinated supports within ADA/504 guidelines.

The position requires advanced knowledge of counseling and related practices, strong collaboration with faculty, and ongoing program development to improve accessibility and success for students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus upper division or graduate coursework in counseling techniques, interviewing and conflict resolution.
• Master’s degree in Counseling or related field may substitute for one year of experience; doctorate may substitute for two years.
• Knowledge of CSU policies, ADA, 504 and related laws; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Determines eligibility and accommodative services for students with disabilities per CSU policy and federal laws.
• Tracks and monitors students with more serious needs based on severity and academic risk.
• Coordinates accommodations with instructors, Department Chair, and College Dean to ensure feasibility and course integrity.
• Participates in developing and delivering programs (workshops, orientations) to enhance DRC services.
• Maintains confidential student records and prepares data-driven reports on trends and outcomes.
