Job summary

Tri-Star Construction LLC in Tulsa, OK seeks a Heavy Civil Construction Dirt Superintendent to lead field operations on earthwork projects. You will build high-performing crews, keep projects on schedule, and manage safety, quality, and budgets with a focus on OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience preferred.
• Previous experience leading crews and managing heavy civil earthwork projects.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, production tracking, quantities, budgets, and cost control.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead heavy civil construction projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate, lead and be responsible for daily production.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop field crews.
• Assist in coordinating subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Build and maintain look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor project budgets, production, labor, and quantities to maximize profitability.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards, specifications, and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production records, and timekeeping in field management software.
• Coordinate with Construction Managers, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and project owners.
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and job hazard reviews.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Identify and solve field issues while keeping projects moving forward.
