LOCATION: Remote

Travel is estimated at up to 50% during peak times, which may include up to 12–14 days or more per month, including weekends, depending on scheduling requirements.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Quality Improvement & Impact, the Director, Youth Impact will oversee consultation and support services to member organizations. This role focuses on enhancing BGCA’s quality improvement and youth impact strategies as part of our new Strategic Direction, Future Ready. The role involves collaborating with local entities to increase their capacity for achieving mission-driven youth outcomes through evidence-informed interventions, professional development, data utilization, and continuous improvement methodologies. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively across teams, facilitate learning opportunities, and develop systems to share best practices.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Provide Accountable Leadership to Independent Organizations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Board members, CEOs, and leaders of local organizations, providing support, resources, and tools.
  • Assist Clubs in building capacity to meet their quality goals, focusing on organizational infrastructure and staff engagement.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service with professional and volunteer leadership of Clubs.
Support Strong and Stable Clubs
  • Support development and implementation of frameworks aligned with BGCA’s Standards of Organizational Effectiveness and Theory of Change, focusing on enhancing the Club Member Experience.
  • Assess and provide technical support, coordinating deployment of field and technical consultants.
  • Ensure continuous quality improvement, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Help organizations develop outcome-driven strategies, analyze data, and increase participation and retention.
  • Design and facilitate learning opportunities like training, webinars, and peer communities to share best practices.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
  • Work with Field Operations to enhance membership, program adoption, and youth outcomes.
  • Represent the Youth Development department and collaborate with other teams to drive quality and impact.
  • Support impact definition at the local level, surface support needs, and align strategies with best practices.
Sustain and Scale Program Quality
  • Maintain relationships with the Weikart Center for Program Quality and scale key elements like training, data collection, and assessments.
  • Coordinate with regional teams to deliver program quality support and translate research into practice.
Coaching & Consulting Skills
  • Approach work with a mindset of continuous improvement, curiosity, and innovation.
  • Utilize coaching and facilitation techniques to build capacity and navigate complex dynamics.
  • Create a culture of learning within BGCA and partner organizations.
  • Provide consultation to individuals and organizations, addressing root causes and solutions.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years coaching and facilitation experience.
  • Minimum 5 years managing or operating a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, or 7 years in quality improvement or nonprofit consulting.
  • Experience with organizational development, youth development, and methodologies like Improvement Science, LEAN, Six Sigma.
  • Public speaking experience with senior stakeholders.
Skills
  • Excellent communication, data analysis, ethics, management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
