Director, Workforce Planning & Talent Management

Primary Purpose: Responsible for developing and scaling enterprise-wide strategic workforce planning and talent management solutions that drive measurable results. Partners with senior leadership to develop an integrated talent strategy that aligns with business needs, fosters a high-performance culture, and positions Exelon as an Employer of Choice. Utilizes data-driven methods to enhance various aspects of the employee lifecycle, including planning, performance management, learning, assessments, leadership development, succession planning, and onboarding. Collaborates across HR functions to ensure a cohesive talent strategy. Leads a team dedicated to implementing these solutions.

Primary Duties:

  1. Co-develop a multi-year workforce planning strategy with HR and business leaders; manage the process enterprise-wide. (25%)
  2. Enhance and oversee performance management, learning & development, assessments, leadership development, talent reviews, succession planning, and onboarding processes. (25%)
  3. Lead and develop the Talent team to meet enterprise and HR objectives through coaching and feedback. (25%)
  4. Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement an integrated talent strategy. (25%)

Job Scope:

  • Reports to the VP of Talent, Learning, and DEI.
  • Responsible for enterprise-wide talent management solutions and tools.
  • Collaborates with HR leaders across operating companies and functions.
  • Interacts with employees at all levels.
  • Manages 3-5 direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field, or 15-20 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years HR experience, with at least 6-8 years in OD/Human Resource Development.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience.
  • Extensive experience in strategic workforce planning and talent management processes.
  • Strong leadership, strategic, and data-driven decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related fields.
  • Certifications in executive coaching, 360 feedback, or OD assessment tools.
  • Skills in assessment, project management, process redesign, and change management.

Benefits:

  • Salary range: $168,000 - $231,000 annually, plus $50K Long Term Incentive Plan.
  • Annual bonus potential: 30%.
