Job summary

Cinemark is seeking a Director of Workforce Management & Reporting Strategy to lead the WFM team, labor planning, scheduling optimization, and reporting strategy for domestic theatre operations. This role provides strategic direction, analytics, and system oversight to drive labor performance and profitability.

You will partner with Field Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, and Data teams to ensure accurate data, scalable reports, and actionable insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field and 10+ years in workforce management or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience leading labor strategy, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret large data sets and executive-level reporting.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of new tools and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead WFM strategy including labor planning, scheduling optimization, and field labor guidance.
  • Oversee operations reporting strategy, dashboards, data quality, and analytics tools.
  • Manage annual labor budgeting, forecasting, weekly planning, and executive reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, automate reporting, and enhance data sources.
  • Partner with Field Ops, Finance, HR, Legal, Data teams to support priorities and execution.
  • Govern WFM systems, scheduling tools, timekeeping, reporting platforms, and access controls.
  • Ensure processes are accurate, compliant, and aligned with controls and objectives.
  • Provide field leaders with insights, training, and documentation to improve tool usage.
  • Lead and develop Workforce Management team members with clear goals and standards.

Role Summary

The Director, Workforce Management & Reporting Strategy is responsible for leading Cinemark’s WFM team, workforce planning, labor optimization, and reporting strategy for Cinemark’s domestic theatre operations. This role provides strategic leadership, analytical direction, system oversight, and cross-functional execution support to improve labor performance, compliance, reporting accessibility, and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Lead WFM strategy, including labor planning, scheduling optimization, labor standards, and field labor guidance.
  • Oversee Operations reporting strategy, dashboard governance, data quality routines, and analytical tools that support field and senior leadership decision-making.
  • Manage annual labor budgeting, recurring labor forecasting, weekly labor planning, labor analytics, and related executive and field reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce manual work, automate reporting, strengthen data sources, simplify field routines, and enhance operational performance.
  • Partner with Field Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, Data and Decision Support, and other stakeholders to support business priorities and operational execution.
  • Lead governance and administration of WFM systems, scheduling tools, timekeeping processes, reporting platforms, dashboards, access controls, configurations, testing, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure WFM and operations analysis processes are accurate, compliant, sustainable, documented, and aligned with company controls and business objectives.
  • Provide field leaders with insights, training, job aids, documentation, and support to improve use of labor tools, reports, dashboards, and action planning routines.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and prioritize the work of Workforce Management team members; establish clear goals, performance expectations, service standards, and development plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, analytics, workforce planning, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ten or more years of progressive experience in workforce management, labor planning, operations analysis, field operations, business intelligence, retail, hospitality, restaurant operations, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading labor strategy, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling optimization, operations reporting, dashboard governance, system administration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, including experience interpreting large data sets, labor models, productivity metrics, operational KPIs, forecasting outputs, and executive-level reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional work, influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive adoption of new processes, tools, systems, and reports.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, team development, prioritization, and change leadership.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and actionably.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with workforce management, scheduling, timekeeping, planning, Power BI, SQL-based reporting, enterprise reporting systems, data visualization, database, or automation tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, SQL, dashboard development, or analytics automation experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-unit retail, hospitality, restaurant, entertainment, or field operations environments.
