Our client, a large busy healthcare facility located about an hour from Charlotte, NC, has a need for a RN Director of Women’s Services to join their team.
Compensation: $10,000 Sign on bonus paid over 2 years; Relocation eligible $5000
The Director of Women’s Services supports the Labor and Delivery Unit, Postpartum, and Nursery|NICU Units. The Director reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Director is accountable for high-quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
This leader will assume 24|7 responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practice on each unit. The Director will supervise and evaluate work activities of all nursing personnel and provide clinical leadership and set strategic and long-term goals for the nursing staff. The Director will assess performance objectives for each nursing unit and organize, coordinate, develop and review policies, procedures and nursing protocols to meet all regulatory, compliance and quality care standards. The Director is responsible for the quality of care, operational and financial efficiency (budgeting) of the nursing unit along with the patient experience. The Director will lead and professionally develop the nursing staff within the unit, providing performance goals, feedback and development opportunities. In addition, the Director is responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of personnel and will chair committees as assigned. May provide direct care as needed.
Bachelor's Degree from recognized college or university required (BSN preferred); Master's Degree highly preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum 5 years RN experience.
Minimum 2 years management experience preferred.
