Job summary

ProFound Therapeutics seeks a Director, Program Lead to drive discovery in Women’s Health, focusing on preeclampsia and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. You will guide the program strategy end-to-end, leading a team and engaging senior stakeholders within ProFound, Flagship, and partner organizations.

You will balance 75% leadership and external-facing work with 25% direct scientific oversight of experiments, leveraging AI, proteomics, and translational biology to advance targets.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD, or equivalent in Physiology, Cell Biology, Reproductive Biology, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of postdoctoral and/or biotech/pharma experience with ≥4 years leading cross-functional teams and budgets.
• Ownership of a discovery or early development program with strategy defense to leadership.
• Experience building, leading, and developing scientific teams.
• Experience owning multi-year program budgets, forecasting and spend prioritization.
• Deep understanding of disease mechanisms and translational models for pharma development.
• Strong track record of publications/patents and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain a high-performing program team; collaborate with internal and external experts.
• Accountable for program success, technical direction, and meeting milestones.
• Lead strategy for program targets, TPP, and stakeholder alignment.
• Make program execution decisions and present to senior decision-makers.
• Oversee long-term budgets, forecast and prioritization of spend.
• Coordinate governance with partners and internal leadership.
• Serve as primary scientific/operational contact for Gates Foundation collaboration.
