Continental Services is seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations to lead safe, efficient, and scalable warehouse operations across OH/PA/NY. You will drive productivity, inventory accuracy, profitability, and customer satisfaction while guiding strategic initiatives and building high-performance teams.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in warehouse/distribution, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership in warehouse/distribution/logistics.
• 3+ years leading multi-site/complex operations and management teams.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, FIFO, and KPIs.
• Experience with route-based distribution and vending tech is preferred.

The Experience You’ll Create:

The Director of Warehouse Operations leads safe, efficient, and scalable warehouse operations supporting our Market and Vending divisions. Success is defined by improving productivity, inventory accuracy, profitability, customer satisfaction, and team performance while executing strategies that support long-term growth.

Operational Leadership

• Lead and inspire warehouse and cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and long-term business objectives.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while coaching managers and developing emerging leaders for future growth and succession.
• Develop and implement SOPs that create consistent, efficient operations for internal partners and customers.
• Oversee labor planning, workforce optimization, inventory control, replenishment, cycle counting, product availability, and FIFO compliance.
• Build strong relationships with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Account Management, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Represent the organization with key partners and serve as an escalation point for major operational accounts.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, food handling, and regulatory requirements.

Performance & Financial Management

• Establish and monitor KPIs for warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, route productivity, product profitability, fulfillment quality, and service.
• Analyze financial and operational data to forecast needs, manage budgets, control costs, and drive performance improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins, productivity, service levels, and warehouse scalability.
• Provide executive-level reporting and support pricing strategies and product-mix optimization for vending machines and markets.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

• Ensure reliable product availability, timely service, and professional interactions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Conduct periodic customer and site visits, review performance, and implement corrective actions to maintain satisfaction.
• Partner with Route Management to meet client fulfillment expectations, using feedback on mispicks and service gaps to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that improve order accuracy and prevent recurrence.

Equipment & Technology Oversight

• Collaborate with IT and technical teams to implement and maintain warehouse management systems, telemetry, routing software, market platforms, cashless payment systems, and reporting tools.
• Coordinate proper equipment installation, removal, placement, and maintenance with technical and field operations teams.

Ingredients for Thriving:

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• 3+ years leading multi-site or complex operations and management teams.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory controls, FIFO practices, and operational KPIs.
• Demonstrated success improving productivity, service, cost performance, and operating margins.
• Strong analytical, financial, communication, and team-development skills.
• Experience with route-based distribution, vending, micro markets, or related technology is preferred.

Location(s) & Logistics:

• Approximately 25–35% travel between operating locations across assigned region is required.
• Regular on-site visits support local teams, operational reviews, customer relationships, and new business launches and expansions.
• Visits include walking warehouse floors and reviewing market, vending and office coffee operations.
