Job summary

Centene Corp. is seeking a strategic Vendor Manager to oversee enterprise vendor partnerships across clinical, operational, and financial objectives.

You will drive contracting, implementation, governance, and performance oversight with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in vendor management within healthcare, strong project management skills, and experience with RFI/RFP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 7+ years of vendor management experience in healthcare or similar operations.
• Proficient with MS-Project or other project management software and MS-Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and support strategic enterprise vendor opportunities, including business case development, RFI/RFP coordination, vendor selection, contract development, negotiations and implementations.
• Lead stakeholder and oversight meetings with vendors, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders; provide executive-level reporting and recommendations.
• Accumulate, monitor, and report on vendor performance metrics to business unit management.
• Communicate expectations and vendor performance against established metrics; drive annual goals and corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented; collaborate with Clinical, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Procurement, Legal and Technology teams.

Position Purpose

Manage strategic vendor partnerships and enterprise initiatives, including vendor evaluation, contracting, implementation, governance, and performance oversight to support clinical, operational, and financial objectives.

Key Details

• This position is remote within the United States with 10% travel required.
• The team primarily operates during 8:00am-6:00 PM Central Time hours, candidates who can regularly work within or closely align to Central Time are preferred.
• Evaluate and support strategic enterprise vendor opportunities, including business case development, RFI/RFP coordination, vendor selection activities, contract development, negotiations and implementations.
• Lead stakeholder and oversight meetings with vendors, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations related to vendor performance, business opportunities, and strategic initiatives Facilitate collaboration between vendors and internal partners, including Clinical, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Procurement, Legal, and Technology teams.
• Accumulate, monitor, and report on vendor performance metrics to business unit management.
• Communicate expectations and vendor performance against established performance metrics to vendors, including development, implementation and follow up on annual vendor goals and targets.
• Ensure applicable vendor performance improvement plans and/or corrective action plans are initiated and completed as expected.
• Ensure vendors sustain required performance improvements/outcomes through verification audits Conduct oversight meetings which include vendors, internal partners, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
• Oversee health plan participation in annual delegation audits Provide follow-through on audit deficiencies to assure corrective actions are implemented.

Pay Range

$148,000.00 - $274,200.00 per year

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 7+ years of vendor management experience, including government programs health care or related experience in mutiple areas of operations.
• Proficient with MS-Project or other project management software and MS-Office applications.
• Project management, administration or operations in the Healthcare industry preferred.
• Experience in training/education and use of statistical analysis preferred.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.

Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
