Job summary

Armanino Advisory LLC seeks an experienced Senior Valuation professional to lead and deliver complex business valuation projects across financial reporting, tax, 409A, and M&A. You will mentor analysts, manage project scopes, and maintain critical client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in valuation within a CPA firm, with strong communication, reporting, and financial modeling capabilities. A leadership mindset and ability to drive on-time, on-budget results are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of valuation experience within a valuation practice of a CPA firm or valuation firm.
• Strong client communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to develop external relationships and bring in new clients.
• Experience resolving external review issues (auditors, IRS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage, review, and deliver business valuation projects for financial reporting, tax, 409A/ASC 718, and M&A.
• Mentor and develop analysts in the valuation practice.
• Perform financial modeling using income, asset, and market approaches.
• Scope new projects with budgets and timelines; manage client communications throughout the process.
• Maintain ownership of key initiatives and metrics (billing, utilization, A/R).

Job Responsibilities

• Manage, review, and deliver business valuation projects for the following purposes: financial reporting purposes (ASC 805/ASC 350), gift and estate tax, 409A/ASC 718, management planning, litigation support, and/or M&A
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts to support the Armanino business valuation practice
• Review, manage, and from time to time perform financial modeling, for financial models that include the income, asset and market approaches to business valuation
• Work with managers and staff to ensure all projects in the pipeline are completed on budget and on time
• Regularly attend scoping calls and proficiently scope new projects by providing realistic and achievable budget estimates for various projects
• Manage and cultivate key client relationships ensure frequent communication with contacts throughout the valuation process
• Network internally and externally to grow the business
• Have ownership of, and manage, key initiatives and metrics, including but not limited to metrics related to billing, utilization, and A/R

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, finance, statistics, mathematics, or engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of valuation experience within a business valuation firm or valuation practice of a CPA firm
• At least one of the following relevant professional and/or valuation designation(s) including, but not limited to: ASA, CPA, CFA, CEIV, CVFI, ABV, or CVA highly preferred
• Prior experience effectively resolving external review issues (auditors, IRS, etc.)
• Strong client communication skills
• Good report writing skills, financial modeling skills, the ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to develop external relationships (networking, referral sources, etc.) and the desire and ability to bring new clients into the business
• Strong client management, consulting, communication, and leadership skills managing expectations and delivering high quality solutions on‑time within scope and budget
• Detail oriented, flexible, and responsive

Preferred Qualifications

• More than one of the following relevant professional and/or valuation designation(s) including, but not limited to: ASA, CPA, CFA, CEIV, CVFI, ABV, or CVA highly preferred

The compensation range for this position: $183,400 - $249,700. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
