Job summary

TotalEnergies is seeking a Director of Operations & Maintenance to lead the performance of utility-scale solar, storage, and wind assets across the US and Canada. You will enforce safety, drive KPIs, and supervise a team while coordinating with EPC, engineering and construction to ensure reliable operations.

Based in the US with preference for Austin or Houston, you will direct third-party contractors, implement digital tools, and ensure compliance with NERC/FERC standards and regional grid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or relevant technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in utility-scale power generation operations and maintenance.
• 5+ years of direct leadership experience managing both 3rd party contractors and field based teams across multiple locations.
• Strong technical knowledge of utility-scale solar infrastructure, including central inverters, trackers, and DC health optimization.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage substation maintenance, SCADA infrastructure and NERC/FERC reliability standards.
• Extreme level of ethics and personal responsibility while working autonomously.
• Assertive team player with diverse interests and love for working within dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Enforce health, safety and environment policy across all activities and teams.
• Develop, lead and mentor a team responsible for operational performance of asset portfolio.
• Lead development of O&M strategies and feasibility analyses for self-perform field operations.
• Champion portfolio KPIs including availability, generation, Opex targets and compliance.
• Oversee real-time performance monitoring and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Drive SOPs and standardize operating procedures across portfolio.
