Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Director of U.S. Therapeutic Area Strategies (Oncology/Specialty) to devise and implement government affairs strategies that shape policy to improve patient access and reimbursement for oncology and specialty brands in the U.S.

The role liaises with US GA, brand teams, and external stakeholders to align policy with business objectives. Responsibilities include building advocacy partnerships, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and providing strategic counsel on policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field such as health care administration, political science, public administration or policy preferred.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support oncology and specialty portfolios by shaping government policies to positively affect patient access and reimbursement in the U.S.
• Serve as a liaison between U.S. Government Affairs and Oncology/Specialty Business Units, sharing business insights and policy updates.
• Develop and sustain advocacy partnerships with third party organizations to advance policy solutions.
• Collaborate with brand teams for strategy development and capacity building across product life cycles.
• Provide ongoing policy guidance to U.S. brand teams on developments impacting oncology and specialty brands.
• Lead cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with Global TAS and other policy groups.
