Job summary

Enterprise Products is seeking a Turnaround & Non-Routine Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance organization in Mont Belvieu, TX. You will direct staffing, training, and contractor relations to ensure reliable operations across midstream facilities.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in energy, strong communication skills, and a track record of implementing maintenance and reliability programs. Travel up to 10% and a Day Job shift are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equipment-related field required.
• 5+ years of leadership experience at manager level or above in energy/equipment.
• 10+ years energy-related experience preferred.
• Strong leadership in communication, organization, influencing and conflict resolution.
• Leadership in operations, maintenance, or engineering of mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Strong communication across organizational lines.
• Ability to develop, manage, improve, and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proven ability to evaluate issues, define requirements, and implement action plans.
• Knowledge of midstream energy facilities is preferred.
• Mobility to access field assets.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Selection, development, training and mentoring of Managers and other direct reports.
• Organize and staff the Turnaround Maintenance Department to meet field ops goals.
• Oversee the development, modification, and implementation of equipment reliability programs and manuals.
• Oversee development and management of contracts with contractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Develop positive relationships between contractors, field operations, project management, field engineering and internal departments.
• Set and achieve departmental goals aligned with executive management.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets (expenses and capital).
• Participate in industry associations as appropriate.

What you will be doing

The Turnaround & Non-Routine Maintenance Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Selection, development, training and mentoring of Managers and other direct reports.
• Organization, alignment, and staffing of the Turnaround Maintenance Department to meet the goals and expectations of field operations and executive management.
• Oversight and guidance of the origination, development, modification, and implementation of equipment reliability, programs, procedures, policies and manuals.
• Oversight and guidance of the development, improvement, maintenance, and performance of agreements and contracts with outside equipment contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Creating, developing, and improving working relationship between outside contractors, equipment vendors, Field Operations, Project Management, Field Engineering and other internal departments.
• Setting and achieving departmental goals that support and meet the expectations of executive management.
• Developing, monitoring and achieving departmental expense and capital budgets.
• Participation in industry associations as appropriate.

What Your Background Should Look Like (minimum Qualifications)

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications

• Four year post secondary degree in engineering or an equipment related field is required.
• Five or more years of leadership experience at the manager level or above in the energy or equipment industry is required.
• Ten or more years of energy related experience preferred.
• Proven leadership skills in the areas of communication, organization, influencing and conflict resolution are required.
• Proven leadership skills in the operations, maintenance, or engineering of mechanical and electrical equipment is required.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence various individuals and groups across organizational lines in required.
• Proven ability to effectively develop, manage, improve, and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Proven organization skills and abilities is required.
• Proven ability to evaluate issues, define requirements, and implement action plans to accomplish organizational goals is required.
• Working knowledge of midstream energy industry facilities such as pipelines (gas, liquids, natural gas liquids), pump and compressor stations, gas and liquid measurement facilities, above and below ground storage, liquid terminals, rail loading/unloading facilities, marine loading/unloading facilities, gas processing facilities, or natural gas liquids fractionation is preferred.
• Mobility to walk and access field assets is required.
• Travel is required up to 10%.
