Job summary

The University of Central Florida invites applications for the Director of TRiO Programs. This transformational leadership role expands educational opportunities and student success across ED-funded programs, including Student Support Services and Upward Bound.

The director will guide innovation, staff development, and grant stewardship to deliver meaningful outcomes for students and communities served. As Director, you will lead a skilled team dedicated to empowering students from high school

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading federally funded educational access, college readiness, or youth development programs.
• Experience managing complex program budgets and ensuring grant compliance.
• Experience supervising professional staff and leading high-performing teams in higher education or related settings.
• Experience with federal TRiO programs, including Upward Bound and/or Student Support Services.
• Experience using data, assessment, and program evaluation to measure outcomes and drive improvement.
• Experience writing, renewing, or administering federal, state, or foundation grants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for all TRiO programs in alignment with ED's mission.
• Provide leadership to staff and ensure programs meet goals and objectives.
• Stay informed about trends and policies related to educational access for disadvantaged students.
• Design and manage research components and IRB protocols for TRiO grants.
• Oversee planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of TRIO programs.
