Job summary

The Metropolitan Council in Minnesota seeks an experienced finance leader to manage a small team and serve as the main liaison with financial institutions and bond investors.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee financial analysis and accounting activities, coordinate with external legal counsel and municipal advisors, and support financing strategies for regional projects.

The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater collection and treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems. The position leads a staff of three (two senior financial analysts, one accountant) and is the Council’s primary liaison with financial institutions, investment brokers, merchant card processors, external legal counsel, municipal advisors, rating agencies, and Council bond investors.
