Job summary

Consor is seeking a transportation director to oversee planning, design, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure. You will manage staff, budgets, and stakeholder relations while driving capital improvement programs.

The role requires a PE license and a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, with hands-on experience using AutoCAD and Civil3D. This hybrid position blends office and field work, with opportunities to lead proposal efforts and secure new projects.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience directing engineers and technical staff.
• Ability to develop capital improvement plans and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of engineers and staff, manage budgets and operations.
• Develop long-term transportation plans including capital improvements.
• Oversee design and delivery of complex transportation projects on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance on transportation engineering, traffic control, and regulations.
• Collaborate with government agencies, MPOs, and community groups.
• Lead proposals and contracts negotiations, especially in the private sector.
