Salary Range: $150,000-200,000 base + annual bonus eligible

Location: Washington, DC. Our in-office team collaborates in our Dupont Circle office Tuesday through Thursday and works from home Monday and Friday.

About Us:

Inspiration is the first specialist investment and asset management platform focused on accelerating transportation electrification in North America. We provide capital and turnkey EV fleet-as-a-service solutions to enable commercial fleets to transition to electric efficiently and profitably. Your Mission:

Your role involves managing pricing, underwriting, due diligence, and deal structuring for new customers and opportunities, as well as monitoring and assessing risks for existing projects. Your responsibilities include analyzing customer data, evaluating risks, proposing transaction structures, supporting strategic initiatives, and contributing to capital raising efforts. You will serve as a key liaison between sales/customer success and treasury, compliance, and capital markets teams.

You will report to Joe Eisenberg, our Senior VP of Transactions.

By excelling in this role, you will develop sophisticated financial and risk models, lead transaction diligence, and improve our processes with internal and external partners. Your work will influence key corporate actions and help us build a diversified portfolio of profitable customers.

Outcomes You Will Deliver:

  • Lead pricing, structuring, modeling, and risk assessment for vehicle leasing and charging infrastructure opportunities, including technical financial analysis and deal design.
  • Assist Legal with transaction documentation review to ensure accuracy.
  • Act as the primary gatekeeper for the Investment Committee regarding fleet and charging transactions.
  • Draft investment approval memos with due diligence and risk/return analysis.
  • Monitor risk indicators and compliance for the lease portfolio to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Build analytical frameworks for underwriting, deal pricing, and risk modeling.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in investment banking, investment firms, or financial institutions with transaction execution experience, including asset-based finance, leases, or securitizations.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial vehicle fleet finance, equipment leasing, and portfolio risk management.
  • Expertise in analyzing financial statements and key metrics.
  • Experience in due diligence, credit assessment, and managing credit risk.
  • Relevant domain expertise in vehicle electrification, automotive, fleet, or clean energy.
  • Proficient in Excel modeling and skilled in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of federal tax concepts is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to own projects and outcomes.
