Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Director for our Transaction Services group. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset to build a new practice within a leading advisory firm and to lead engagement teams on complex transactions.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA, 12+ years of experience in a large public accounting firm, and demonstrated abilities in leadership, client management, and due diligence for M&A opportunities. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• CPA certification is required; if not CPA, meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license in employment state.
• Minimum 12 years of related experience; large public accounting firm preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex business and transaction situations.
• Experience supervising and training staff; strong project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills; presentation and marketing abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead transaction services engagement teams and manage client relationships.
• Coach staff and coordinate services from other practice areas.
• Research complex accounting issues and perform financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
• Oversee delivery of other transaction-related services with high quality standards.
