Job Title: Director, Training Programs

Summary

Reporting to the Head of Engagements, the Director, Training Programs plays a key leadership role responsible for guiding the development, delivery, and expansion of PCI SSC's global training programs. This role oversees the training operations at PCI SSC and supports the organization's vision by ensuring training offerings are aligned with business needs, globally relevant, and effectively executed. The Director will help identify new offerings and grow existing revenue opportunities, strengthen content delivery, and support PCI SSC's commitment to broadening awareness and adoption of its standards through high-impact training solutions.

This position requires a collaborative, forward-thinking leader who is passionate about learning and development, adept at managing people and processes, and comfortable working across teams and time zones to meet strategic and operational goals.

What You Will Be Doing In This Role

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of PCI training operations, ensuring clarity of roles, strong execution, and continued professional development
• Collaborate with internal teams to align training efforts with organizational goals and product strategies
• Oversee the development and delivery of instructor-led and digital training programs that meet the needs of a global, diverse audience
• Strengthen and expand third-party vendor relationships for training delivery, content development, and exam integrity
• Support the development and implementation of a multi-year training strategy focused on quality, scalability, and market growth
• Help identify and pursue new business and revenue opportunities through training innovation and partnerships
• Lead efforts to expand region-specific content and ensure training offerings are appropriately localized and translated
• Ensure training content remains current and in alignment with PCI SSC standards, incorporating industry feedback and changes
• Support and contribute to internal quality management systems (QMS) and exception handling processes
• Liaise regularly with PCI PMO to support timely delivery of training updates and projects
• Ensure appropriate pricing recommendations are developed in collaboration with Business Operations
• Travel approximately 25% (domestic and international) as needed to support training-related initiatives and stakeholder engagement
  
  

What You Will Bring To This Role

• 7+ years of experience in training, learning and development, or related fields, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role
• Proven success managing training teams and delivering eLearning and instructor-led programs at scale
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles, SCORM, and learning management systems (LMS)
• Demonstrated ability to drive growth through training strategy, partnerships, and innovation
• Experience working in or with global organizations, with sensitivity to regional and cultural differences
• Business-minded approach to program development, with experience supporting pricing, planning, and operational decisions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certifications in instructional design, education, or related areas preferred
• Familiarity with the payments industry and security standards is highly desirable
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
  
  

The starting minimum salary for this role is $160,000 USD annually, plus bonus. The final compensation will be based on skills, experience, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
