Mulberry Talent Partners is partnering with a luxury retail brand in Seattle to recruit a Director of Total Rewards. This newly created role offers immediate impact, executive partnership, and the chance to shape the compensation program for a global company.

Working in a hybrid schedule in Seattle, you will lead compensation programs, global benefits, and governance, with data-driven storytelling to the C-suite.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy aligned with business priorities, growth, talent attraction, and retention.
  • Own compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, job architecture, salary structures, and annual compensation planning (e.g. merit, bonus, etc.).
  • Partner on all aspects of global employee benefits and well-being programs ensuring offerings are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and responsive to employee needs.
  • Align with critical team members on compensation budgeting, workforce planning, incentive design, and rewards decisions-making.
  • Apply a market-informed, data-driven approach to rewards through external benchmarking, analytics, and actionable insights.
  • Strengthening global governance and compliance across reward programs.
  • Lead simplification, automation, and continuous improvement across processes, tools and technology.
  • Own end-to-end Total Rewards system, analytics and reporting infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and delivering timely, actionable insights to leadership on pay equity, program effectiveness, and return on investment

This is a newly created role allowing you to make immediate impact, show influence, and help formally shape the compensation program for this global company. Working in the heart of Seattle you will enjoy a flexible, hybrid schedule being in office three days per week. Working initially as an individual contributor, this role is crafted for a people leader who brings strong business insight and trusted executive partnership experience with the ability to guide the organization through change and build scalable, high-impact compensation practices. This role reports to the VP of People and works closely with broader parent company and global leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • 10+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Deep expertise in compensation programs, sales and incentives, and global benefits.
  • 5+ years of experience leading Total Rewards within a global organization.
  • Strong business insight with the ability to translate business strategy into people programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using market data, workforce analytics and technology applications.
  • Solid understanding of global compensation regulations and pay transparency requirements.
  • Expertise in compensation tools including Power BI, Excel, AI, data resources and more.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or Certified Compensation
  • Professional (CCP) certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary range $180-$210K DOE. Our client is a total rewards company, which includes rewards beyond base salary. Full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual results. In addition, they offer a variety of employee benefits, personalized time off, 14-Paid holidays, dental, vision, 401(k), and much more.
