Job summary

Fitch Ratings in Chicago is seeking a Director-level Credit Analyst for North American Corporates, focusing on Technology, Media and Telecommunications. You will lead analytics on issuers, develop financial models, and present findings to rating committees.

The role demands 5–10 years of credit analysis experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and a MBA or CFA. You will mentor junior staff and may assume managerial responsibilities in a global, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
• 5-10 years relevant experience; knowledge of the TMT sector is a plus.
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience is a plus.
• Expertise in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the TMT sectors.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Conduct meetings with industry management teams.
• Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees.
• Involvement in communicating rating rationales to external audiences (investors, analysts) in meetings and reports.
• Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
• Mentor junior members of the team; role may include managerial responsibilities.
