Job summary

Fitch Ratings in Chicago is seeking a Director-level credit analyst focused on Technology, Media, and Telecommunications within the North American Corporates group. You will lead quantitative and qualitative assessments, develop financial models, and present analyses to credit committees.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with MBA or advanced degree a plus, CFA/CPA preferred, 5–10 years in capital markets or credit analysis, and strong Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred.
• 5-10 years relevant experience, some TMT knowledge is a plus.
• Capital markets or credit analysis experience is a plus.
• Expertise in Excel and Word; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality in the TMT sector.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Conduct meetings with industry management teams.
• Present analysis to internal credit rating committees.
• Communicate rating rationales to external audiences in meetings and reports.
• Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
• Mentor junior team members; role may include managerial responsibilities.
