Position Summary:

Futuro Health is seeking a Director of Technology Solutions to lead the strategic direction and operational execution of our technology infrastructure, data systems, and enterprise applications. This is a leadership role for someone who thinks like a technologist and solutions architect first — someone who can design, implement, and maintain reliable systems, direct and develop technical teams, and ensure the platforms powering our learner experience and enterprise are secure, scalable, well-governed, and responsive to business needs. This person will own our core technology infrastructure (built on .NET, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM), evaluate architecture and vendor decisions, and hold technical leaders accountable for delivery. The Director will partner with program, Scholar-facing and client-facing leadership, and other teams to translate organizational needs into technical solutions, including working closely with the Director of Instructional Design to ensure new learning tools integrate cleanly with the broader technology environment.

Essential Job Functions:
Technology & Infrastructure Oversight
  • Own the strategic and operational direction of IT infrastructure, software development, and data systems.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of core enterprise systems (.NET applications, Microsoft Azure environment, SQL Server databases, Microsoft Dynamics CRM).
  • Lead architecture and platform decisions in partnership with the Manager of Software Development.
  • Oversee data governance, integrity, and systems strategy in partnership with the Senior Manager of Data Systems.
  • Evaluate vendor and build/buy tradeoffs for new technical solutions and budget recommendations/planning.
  • Ensure IT operations effectively support day-to-day organizational technology needs.
Solutions Delivery
  • Translate business and operational needs into scoped technical solutions, investment/budget strategy, and implementation plans.
  • Establish delivery processes (intake, prioritization, release management, budget chargeback) where they don't yet exist.
  • Oversee the technical execution of tools supporting instructional design, curriculum management, and learner-facing systems.
  • Monitor system performance and lead resolution of escalated and significant technical issues.
  • Prepare for and practice staff for crisis scenario response mitigation.
People Leadership
  • Directly manage and develop the IT Operations Manager, Senior Manager of Data Systems, and Manager of Software Development.
  • Build team capacity, set performance expectations, cultivate healthy culture, and support career growth for direct and indirect reports.
  • Lead across disciplines outside one's own technical background by empowering subject-matter experts and fostering trust and autonomy within teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across a cross-functional organization.
  • Ensure business continuity of business-critical functions, including documentation and cross training.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on technology and data strategy as tools, products and enablers of organizational goals.
  • Represent technology and infrastructure priorities in organizational planning and budgeting.
  • Oversee and partner with external vendors and consultants as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Required
  • 7+ years of experience in technology leadership, with 2+ years managing high-performing teams across multiple sub-functions (infrastructure, engineering, data).
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing enterprise application architecture (e.g., .NET, Azure, SQL Server) and holding technical teams accountable for delivery.
  • Experience overseeing or partnering closely with CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams or functions outside one's core expertise — candidates must show strong judgment in setting direction and building trust with subject-matter experts.
  • Comfortable translating ambiguous organizational needs into structured technical solutions, budgets and project plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
Preferred
  • Experience in education technology, workforce development, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Experience with data governance and reporting/analytics platforms.
  • Prior experience building or maturing a technology function in an organization that previously lacked one.
Education:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred
  • Master's degree (MBA, MS in Information Systems, or similar), or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), a Pragmatic Institute product certification, PMP, or ITIL Foundation.

As a condition of employment, employees must be able to fulfill this twice-yearly travel requirement. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as required by applicable law.
