We’re looking for a Director, Technical Program Manager to lead programs that deliver critical business goals and build large‑scale products and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Strong technical background in building highly scalable platforms, products, or services with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life‑cycle.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and influencing skills.
• Quantitative approach to problem‑solving and a system‑thinking implementation of holistic solutions.
• Experience as a TPM leader to grow and develop a team of TPMs while building the foundations for the TPM practice.
• Ability to simplify technically complex situations and drive well‑educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data‑science representatives.
• Deep focus on execution, follow‑through, accountability, and results.
• Exceptional cross‑team collaboration; can work across functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.
• High emotional intelligence, good listening, and deep empathy for teams and partners.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and building data‑intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• 3+ years building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing (preferably AWS).
• 3+ years building highly scalable mobile products and platforms.
• 3+ years experience with Agile delivery.
• 3+ years delivering large and complex programs—owning business or technical vision, collaborating with large cross‑functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and unblocking teams to achieve business impact.
• Experience building systems and solutions in a highly regulated environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering).
• MBA or Master’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.

Benefits and Compensation

Salary ranges by location (example):

• McLean, VA: $230,400‑$263,000 for Director, Technical Program Management.
• Richmond, VA: $209,500‑$239,100 for Director, Technical Program Management.

Eligibility to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI), dependent on the plan.
